Here is your Fitness Success: Tip Of The Week - # 7:

________________________________________________________________
Weight Gain, Weight Loss or Weight Control? Which Do You Want?

Fitness has numerous meanings. For many it's about losing fat weight & toning up a bit. For some it's about gaining healthy weight & building strength. And for others it's all about maintenance. Figuring out what you need is usually the easy part - not always - but usually.

What to do next is often where the challenges begin. There is an endless amount of information that makes it hard to decipher what is right for you. Various workout plans, methods and machines. Countless diets, 'vitamin' supplements and nutritional plans - and also the 'here today, gone tomorrow' gimmicks, gizmos and fads are all vying for your attention and dollars in the promise of giving you the results you so deeply desire.

For purposes of addressing the title of the tip - I direct your attention to the most important factor in this equation - CALORIES.

It doesn't matter what you are aiming for - weight loss, weight gain or weight maintenance - calories are the most vital element in your quest.

Don't get me wrong - the quality of those calories is EXTREMELY important, as well as your 'habits of fitness'. But if the number of calories you take in on a daily basis isn't in line and in tune with your 'vision' - your desired result - then everything else is much, much harder.

Focus on learning and understanding the value of caloric intake and it's impact on your existence and functionality. This will give you a clearer insight into why you should eat the things you are supposed to be eating - and why calories have to be at certain levels to yield specific results.

Start by asking your self, "What do I want?"
